I am passionate about helping others live a life of purpose and excellence in all areas. We all face uncertain and difficult seasons in our lives and we are not designed to walk through them alone. I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to SEEK help from an experienced, trusted professional in order to OPTIMIZE their strengths and natural abilities, helping them to ASCEND to higher levels of healthy thinking and functioning, which in turn, will help them begin to RESTORE what has been bruised and broken in their life.
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, and Texas Licensed Professional Counselor, and I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University in 2009. Before starting my counseling career, I was a middle school teacher and sports coach for over ten years, where I gained much experience in working with adolescents, teens, and their families. I have worked as a therapist in the Christian Counseling setting, where I worked with individuals, couples, adolescents, and teens. I also spent time in the Nonprofit setting and helped start up Grace Like Rain here in Denton County, where I served as Program Director and worked with families with young children who were facing times of crises. In 2018, I started my own Private Practice, SOAR Counseling, as a sole practitioner here in Argyle. Most recently, I have joined the amazing team here at Redeemed Life Counseling.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues and problems including, but not limited to the following: depression, anxiety, panic attacks, parenting, marriage, divorce, remarriage, blended families, co-parenting, codependency, psychological and narcissistic abuse, toxic/destructive relationships, self-harm, and addictions.
I am grateful to have the opportunity to come alongside you and help you navigate through life’s difficult seasons and transitions in a way that promotes authentic happiness, health, and healing.
